Wisdom of the Bass Pro

One of my father’s friends was a professional bass fisherman. When the guy took my dad out fishing the first time, Dad asked about the most important thing to know, the most important technique. The old pro said, "You have to believe there's a fish in there." Simply profound. If he did not believe there was “a fish in there,” his senses would be turned down, and he would miss the signals that could help him catch the fish.

We could all benefit from approaching our problems more like the old bass pro: assuming there’s a solution in there.
